Expressive Arts Drama
The Royal Theatre Drama Conservatory under the direction of Drama Director/Actress Erica C. Sutherlin, serves as a comprehensive acting training program designed for high school students to adults. The Drama Conservatory will explore all theatrical performance genres- comedy, drama, and classical performances. The Conservatory will produce professional productions in local venues. The program admits performers by audition only. This class is designed for students interested in professional theater performance.
Main Stage Performance Company
MSPC is a musical theater repertoire program. Class rehearsals include instruction in acting, singing and choreography to prepare for performances of full musical productions. Weekly rehearsals, in addition to other rehearsals, as necessary, are mandatory. Consideration for acceptance into this Performance Company is based on an audition. The class will also include Improv Techniques, Master Classes offering group voice lessons, which focus on proper breathing, voice placement, and projection, diction, intonation and preparation for auditions. This class is meant for students who are interested in musical theatre as a profession.
Youth Dance
The Royal Theatre Youth Dance Academy serves as a comprehensive dance training program designed for young people, ages 5 and above. The program admits all who apply, regardless of skill level and provides an exploration of the musical and theatrical performance of dance.
Our Mission: Our Mission is to teach the art of dance in a non-competitive self-esteem building environment. We are committed to up holding a high level of integrity in teaching proper technique and class etiquette. We want our children to grow into well rounded disciplined adults. The Royal allows a place for children to use dance as a creative healthy outlet in their lives.

Midtown Dance Company
Midtown Dance Company is made up of a group of local dancers’ ages 14 to18 who are looking to take their talent to the next level. Midtown Dance Company is a performing dance company that will host and be a part of numerous productions around the city. M.D.C will participate in regional and national competitions. These dancers are required to take at least 5 hours of dance per week and are held to higher standards then their peers. They are focused individuals who enjoy taking on challenges and working hard.
*We also offer private lessons for students or groups. If you are preparing for an upcoming performance or audition or just need some extra help on the side, we will help you develop your routine. The private lessons are $20.00 per hour for an individual and $30.00 per hour for a group.
Mime Dance Team
The purpose of the mime dance ministry is to glorify Jesus Christ. While some receive deliverance from hearing a spoken word or an awesome song, others find healing by seeing a song brought to life through MIME. Students participate in dance performance in house and locally.
Music Development –Music development class offer private and group instructions in piano, drums, guitar, woodwinds and strings from seasoned and degreed professionals. Participation is limited to availability.
Recording Arts & Production
The R.A.P. (Recording Arts & Production) program offers a curriculum focusing on basic to advance music production skills and techniques, with an emphasis on youth empowerment. The 24 week program will provide hands on experience in a state-of-the-art professional studio; subjects such as production, songwriting, terminology, and technology, while also integrating business/entrepreneurial strategies.

Graphic Art
Students learn basic, intermediate and advance computer techniques using the latest graphic arts and desktop publishing software: Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite, Power Point, Publisher, and Microsoft Word. A portfolio of students works will be submitted and reviewed by industry professional for concepts, content and creative design. Students receive awards and recognitions.
Spoken Word
Royal Poet Society Voice of Hope ignited the youth spoken word and poetry scene in the Tampa Bay Area when it was established in partnership with Poetic Collage in 2006. Since then, Royal Poet Society Voice of Hope has provided hundreds of Tampa Bay Area teenagers with free, safe, ongoing, and uncensored writing and performance opportunities. We believe teenagers can and must speak for themselves and the key to building self-confidence, honing critical thinking skills, and developing imaginative and honest writing is to honor what they say and feel.
Choir & Vocal Technique
This is a community youth choir where students learn proper breathing and vocal techniques, and develop a repertoire for recitals and performances. Students develop a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts while becoming proficient performers. The goals of the program are to instill a sense of pride, self-discipline, motivation, spirituality and a drive for excellence not only in music, but also in our every day living. We want our students to be the best that they can be while sharing their talents with ours. Membership in the Academy’s Choral program includes concert choir, chamber choir, and any small performing groups that are needed throughout the year for various community functions.
Members will be chosen from Ages 5-18.

The Learning Center
All students have the opportunity to improve or maintain good study habits with academic support from certified teachers and professional homework assistants. All academy students are encouraged to participate in the LC. |
